Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player claimed his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging year, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in particular - led to him falling of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought competitive win over challenger Moutet.
It is his first championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court after spring of the previous year.
The win also means the Russian has secured twenty-one titles at 21 distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my children together, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six finals, comprising in that event in the past months.
The player's retrieving strategy and recurring reactions on court had led commentators to question if his skill to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has made changes in the past month, striving to approach the net and compete assertively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the last five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped break points in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to force a third set.
The opponent saved four initial opportunities in a close deciding set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, the winner secured the title with a shot at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
