I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
